Inside white sand and glitter sealed in to raise up the height for the candles to sit in. Comes with 3 LED Battery operated candles with built in 6 hour timer. You could also use real tealights or votives if you like. Very nice . They stand 8.75" and 2 are 9.5". 2 are stamped Taiwan on bottom so 60s 70s era and one stamped India.
