Vintage M.A. Donohue Animal Babies Set 12 Art Prints Jacob Bates Abbott #995.
M.A. Donohue was a publishing company that operated between the late 1800s and mid 1900s. They produced a series of various lithographic prints. This is a complete set of 12 for number 994, Birds at Home by Jacob Bates Abbott. I've seen these dated anywhere from 1937 to 1948. He illustrated a book by the same name about 1942, so I'm more inclined to accept the mid to late 40s. They have minor issues, including a small tear in the top of one plate, but mainly just age related discoloration and yellowing of the paper. Still a beautiful set of informative prints.
